【摘要】:Thefailureofabuildingsealantinanactivejointisusuallymanifestedbycohesivefailureinthesealantoradhesivefailurebetweenthesealantandthesubstrate,orboth.Themethoddescribedinthistestmethodrelatesonlytotheperformanceofthesealantwhenproperlyinstalledwithrecommendedprimers,anddoesnotevaluatesealantfailurescausedbyimproperjointdesign,excessivejointmovement,improperapplicationpractices,andotherfactorsknowntocausesealantfailureinbuildingsandbuildingareas.1.1Thistestmethodisanacceleratedlaboratoryprocedureforevaluatingtheperformanceofabuildingsealantinatestconfigurationthatissubjectedtowaterimmersion,cyclicmovement,andtemperaturechange.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
