【摘要】:1.1Thesetestmethodscoverrequirementsforsimulatedservicetestsandtestingequipmentfordeterminingtheperformancecharacteristicsofventilationgrillesusedinsecureareas,includingdetentionandcorrectionalfacilities.Thetestingequipmentprovidesforthesetupandtestingofspecimengrillesandmountingsystems.Itisrecognizedthat,inordertomeettheintentofthesetestmethods,ventilationgrillesmustbecompatiblewiththelevelofperformancerequirebyTestMethodsF2322.1.2Itistheintentofthesetestmethodstoensurethatsecurityventilationgrillesmeetminimumperformancelevelstocontrolthepassageofunauthorizedmaterialsintosecureareas,toconfineinmates,toresistvandalism,andtodelayorfrustrateescape,orboth.Itisalsotheresponsibilityoftheuserofthesetestmethodstoinsurethatthegrilleselectedisappropriate,basedonrelevantregulatory,health,andsafetyconcernsandrequirements.Suchconcernsinclude,butarenotlimitedto,injuryandsuicideavoidance.Thesetestmethodsdonotquantifysuchconcerns.1.3TakecaretoprovideaccesstoreturnandexhaustductsforcleaningasrequiredbyNFPA90A.Ifaccesscannotbeprovidedthoughaninterstitialspacebehindwallsorceiling,theuseoffiltergrillesneedstobeconsideredasanoption.Whenfiltergrillesareprovided,filtersshallhaveaminimumUL-900class2rating,andafilterreplacementprogramneedstobeinplaceatthefacility.1.4AirflowperformanceshallbecataloguedinaccordancewithASHRAE70-91.Manufacturerscatalogdatamustincludegradelevelachieved.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparentheseesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
