【摘要】:Theenergyinputrateandthermostatcalibrationtestsareusedtoconfirmthatthehotfoodholdingcabinetisoperatingproperlypriortofurthertesting.Preheatenergyandtimecanbeusefultofoodserviceoperatorstomanageenergydemandsandtoknowhowquicklythehotfoodholdingcabinetcanbereadyforoperation.Energyconsumption(idleenergyrate)canbeusedbythefoodserviceoperatortoestimateenergyconsumptionduringoperatingperiods.Energyconsumption(idleenergyrate)withthewaterdevicecanbeusedbythefoodserviceoperatortoestimateenergyconsumptionduringoperatingperiodswiththehumiditydevice.Therelativehumiditypercentagecanbeusedbyoperatorstoselectahotfoodholdingcabinetthatwillmeettheirfood-holdingneeds.Thetemperatureuniformitycanbeusedbyoperatorstochooseahotfoodcabinetthatmeetstheirfood-holdingneeds.1.1Thistestmethodevaluatesthepreheatenergyconsumptionandidleenergyconsumptionofhotfoodholdingcabinets.Thefoodserviceoperatorcanusethisevaluationtoselectahotfoodholdingcabinetandunderstanditsenergyperformance,temperatureuniformity,andrelativehumidity(ifapplicable).Ahotfoodholdingcabinetisdescribedasacommercialkitchenappliancethatisusedtoholdhotfood(usuallynogreaterthan200176;F)thathasbeencookedinaseparateapplianceataspecifiedtemperature.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoelectrichotfoodholdingcabinets.1.3Thehotfoodholdingcabinetcanbeevaluatedwithrespecttothefollowing(whereapplicable):1.3.1Energyinputrate(10.2),1.3.2Temperaturecalibration(10.3),1.3.3Preheatenergyconsumptionandtime(10.4),1.3.4Energyconsumption(idleenergyrate)(10.5),1.3.5Energyconsumptionwithwater(humiditypan)deviceandrelativehumidity(ifapplicable)(10.5)and1.3.6Temperatureuniformity(10.5).1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
