【摘要】:Dataobtainedbythistestmethodhavebeenusedtopredictthebehaviorofplasticsheetingatlowtemperaturesonlyiftheconditionsofdeformationaresimilartothosespecifiedinthistestmethod.Thistestmethodisusefulforspecificationtestingandforcomparativepurposes,butdoesnotnecessarilydeterminethelowestusetemperatureforaparticularplastic.Ithasbeendemonstratedthatoncalenderedsheetingthebrittlenesstemperatureissensitivetothedirectionoffold.Ithasalsobeendemonstratedthatthebrittlenesstemperatureissensitivetothedirectionofsampling.Therefore,itisimperativethattheprocedurefortakingspecimensandfoldingbefollowedexplicitly.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthattemperatureatwhichplasticsheeting1.00mm(0.040in.)orlessinthicknessexhibitsabrittlefailureunderspecifiedimpactconditions.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note18212;ThistestmethodwasdevelopedjointlywiththeSocietyofthePlasticsIndustry,primarilyforusewithplasticizedvinylsheetings.Itsapplicabilitytootherplasticsheetingsmustbeverifiedbytheuser.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note28212;ThistestmethodandISO8570addressthesamesubjectmatter,butdifferintechnicalcontent.
