【摘要】:Theproceduresdescribedinthistestmethodcanbeusedtopredictmoreaccuratelythelubricatingpropertiesofametalremovalfluidthanpreviouslyavailablelaboratoryscaletests.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoallowflexibilityintheselectionoftestspecimenmetalcomposition,tapalloyorcoatings,andmachiningspeeds.Comparisonbetweenvarioustypesoffluidscanbemade,includingcuttingoils,solubleoils,semi-synthetics,orwatersolublesynthetics.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratorytechniquetoevaluatetherelativeperformanceofmetalremovalfluidsusinganon-matrixtestprotocolusingthetappingtorquetestmachine.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Becausetheequipmentusedinthistestmethodisavailableonlyininch-poundunits,SIunitsareomittedwhenreferringtotheequipmentandthetestpieces.1.3Thistestmethoddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
