【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedsolelyfordeterminingcomparativelaboratoryindicesofperformance.Theresultsmaybeusedforrankingalloysinorderofincreasingresistancetopittingandcrevicecorrosionunderthespecificconditionsofthismethod.Itshouldbenotedthatthemethodisintentionallydesignedtoreachconditionsthataresufficientlyseveretocausebreakdownofatleastonealloy(Type316Lstainlesssteel)currentlyconsideredacceptableforsurgicalimplantuse,andthatthosealloyswhichsufferpittingorcrevicecorrosionduringthemoresevereportionsofthetestdonotnecessarilysufferlocalizedcorrosionwhenplacedwithinthehumanbodyasasurgicalimplant.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofresistancetoeitherpittingorcrevicecorrosionofmetalsandalloysfromwhichsurgicalimplantswillbeproduced.Itisamodifiedversionofanestablishedtestandisusedasascreeningtesttoranksurgicalimplantalloysinorderoftheirresistancetolocalizedcorrosion.1.2Thistestmethodappliesonlytopassivemetalsandalloys.Nonpassivealloys(otherthannoblealloys)aresusceptibletogeneralcorrosionandarenotnormallysuitableforimplantuse.1.3Thistestmethodisintendedforuseasalaboratoryscreeningtestofmetalsandalloyswhichundergopittingorcrevicecorrosion,orboth.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
