【摘要】:MechanicalpropertiesofPEEK,suchasstiffnessoryieldstrength,areinfluencedbythelevelofcrystallinity.ThereportedcrystallinityindexdeterminedbythistestmethodhasbeencorrelatedwithpercentcrystallinityinPEEKbywide-angleX-rayscattering(WAXS)experiments.Thistestmethodmaybeusefulforbothprocessdevelopment,processcontrol,productdevelopment,andresearch.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthecollectionofabsorptionspectraofpolyetheretherketone(PEEK)polymerinfilledandunfilledgrades,assuppliedbyavendor,andthesubsequentcalculationofthepercentcrystallinity.Thematerialisevaluatedbyinfraredspectroscopy.Theintensity(height)oftheabsorbancepeaksisrelatedtotheamountofcrystallineregionspresentinthematerial.1.2ThistestmethodcanbeusedforPEEKconsolidatedforms,suchasinjectionmoldedparts,aslongasthesamplesareopticallyflatandsmooth.1.3TheapplicabilityoftheinfraredmethodtoindustrialandmedicalgradePEEKmaterialshasbeendemonstratedbyscientificstudies.PercentageofcrystallinityisrelatedtoR-FTIRmeasurementbycalibrationthroughwide-anglex-rayscattering(WAXS)crystallinitymeasurements.Itisanticipatedthatthistestmethod,involvingthepeakheightsnear1305cm-1and1280cm-1,willbeevaluatedinanInterlaboratoryStudy(ILS)conductedaccordingtoTestMethodE691.1.4Thistestmethoddoesnotsuggestadesiredrangeofcrystallinityforspecificapplications.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
