【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesguidanceonassessingtheeffectsofpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)onheatstressanditsconsequencesforpossibleheat-relatedhealthproblems(heatstrain).ThisstandardgivesguidanceontheapplicationofthemethodsformeasuringheatstressgiveninBSEN12515:1997andBSEN27243:1994toworkerswearingPPE.NOTE1TheconditionsinwhichBSEN12515:1997andBSEN27243:1994areapplicable(asoutlinedinthescopeofeachofthesestandards)arenotextendedbythisBritishStandard.NOTE2GuidanceontheapplicationofthemethodsgiveninBSEN12515:1997andBSEN27243:1994tomeasurementofheatstressinworkerswearingPPEisgiveninannexAandworkedexamplesaregiveninannexB.ExamplesofthethermalinsulationvaluesofclothingaregiveninannexC.ThetheorybehindthemodificationstothemethodgiveninBSEN12515:1997forworkerswearingPPEisgiveninannexD.ThisBritishStandardisintendedforusebyallwho:a)havearesponsibilityforthehealthandsafetyofworkerswearingPPEinsituationswhichcouldleadtoheatstrain;b)advisethosewiththisresponsibility;c)provideinformationtothosewiththisresponsibility.ThisBritishStandardappliestoallPPE,whichincludesclothingwornintheworkplacetoprotectthewearer.Itdoesnotconsiderspecialthermalprotectiveclothing(e.g.water-cooledsuits,ventilatedsuits,heatedclothing)becausetheeffectoftheseitemsrequiresspecialconsideration.Itdoesnotapplytoheatstressinhypo-orhyperbaricenvironments,orwhenthebodyisimmersedinwater.ThisBritishStandardisnotconcernedwiththermalcomfort.MethodsforassessingthermalcomfortaregiveninBSENISO7730andBSISO10551.ThisBritishStandardappliestoworkerswearingPPEincoolandmoderatethermalenvironments,aswellashotenvironments,aswearingPPEcancontributetoheatstressevenincoolormoderatethermalenvironments.
